“RAPUNZEL”
A long
time ago there lived a young couple, a man and his wife. His wife was expecting
their baby. She wanted a plant that only grew in their neighbor’s garden. She wanted it so much.
“Darling,
please take that plant for me and our baby.” asked the wife.
“But,
Darling, you know that the plants are mother Gothel’s plants. She is a witch.”
“So
what? I really want that plant, Darling.
Please, take it for me.”
“Huh,”
the husband breathe soundly. “Okay, I will take it for you and our baby.”
Finally,
the husband went to the
mother Gothel’s garden to steal the plant. But unfortunately, mother Gothel caught
him doing it. She was very angry. Then, mother Gothel forced the couple to gave their first baby to her.
“You
stole my plant! Both of you must give your first baby to me!”
That
couple very sad. They won’t give their baby to that witch, but they couldn’t reject what mother
Gothel said.
A few
months later, the baby was born. It was a girl and named Rapunzel. Soon, this
baby was taken away to live with mother Gothel. Rapunzel grew to be a beautiful
young girl with her long golden hair. At first she was cared for in a normal
way. When she reached puberty, she was looked in a tower so that she would
never leave mother Gothel.
The
tower stood in the forest. It could only be entered by climbing on Rapunzel’s
long hair. It was very bored for her to stayed with didn’t do anything at that
tower. To cheer herself up, she loved to sing.
One day,
a young prince was out hunting. He stumbled upon the tower. He heard Rapunzel’s
beautiful voice.
“Hei,
who are the owner of that beautiful voice? It’s sound like the voice come from
that tower. I must to meet the owner of that voice.”
The
prince saw mother Gothel entered to the tower. He spied and, by watching mother
Gothel, learned the words he had to say to have Rapunzel drop her hair. Luckily,
he was success at the first tried. The prince met Rapunzel, and they fell in
love at the first sight. And from that, the prince visited her often at the
tower.
Then,
Rapunzel made a plan to escape from the tower. She wanted to be with the
prince.
“Price,
can you help me?” Rapunzel asked to the prince.
“Of
course, Rapunzel. What can I do
for you?”
“Can
you bring me a skein of silk each time you visiting me from now on?”
“Silk?”
the prince confused. “What’s for?”
“To
make a rope, so I can escaping from here.”
The prince agreed that. But unfortunately, mother
Gothel caught on. She was so angry.
“Betrayer
girl! What are you doing with this insolent boy, huh? Are you want to take out
from this tower? Okay, I granted! Get out you from here. Get out you to the
desert!”
Then,
mother Gother banished Rapunzel to the desert. She also threw the prince from
the tower into a thorny bush. The thorns made the prince blind, but he didn’t
worry about it. With the blind eyes, the
prince roamed the earth searching for his love.
Eventually,
the prince met Rapunzel again, and magicly the prince’s eyes were healed by
Rapunzel’s tears of happiness. And then, they married and life happily ever
after.
